Choir & Cantors

An essential part of Orthodox Christian worship is the role of the choir and cantors.┬á These are the people responsible for leading the people in prayer, responding to the clergy in a “dialogue of prayer.”

The parish choir, under the leadership of director Teodor Vingarzan, is made-up of young and old, American-born and Romanian-born, and is always accepting new singers who dedicate themselves to rehearsals and offer their talents to the Lord at the Sunday Divine Liturgy and various other services and events throughout the year.

The cantors lead the responses at Sunday Matins services, weekday Divine Liturgies, Baptisms, Funerals, Weddings (when the choir is not requested), and other various services throughout the year.
