Grape Festival Initiates New Autumn Tradition

On Saturday, 21 October 2017, our parish hosted its first ever Grape Festival.  Having received many requests to host a fall festival similar to our successful Romanian American Heritage Festival held each year in June, we offered a unique event celebrating Autumn with food and music.

In addition to traditional Romanian food and baked goods prepared by the men and women of our parish, guests were treated to the opportunity to purchase delicious “must” (freshly-pressed grape juice) made on site that day.

A special performance of Romanian Dances was presented by our very own teen dance ensemble “Junii României” (Romanian Youth) along with guest dance group “Dor Călător.”  The music for the evening was provided by PRO MUSIC.

Many thanks to all who supported and participated in this event!  We invite our family, friends and community to join us in June for another wonderful Romanian Festival, and then again in the Fall for our second Grape Festival!
