UPDATED: On the Reopening of Churches

UPDATE: We are back to normal procedures, but ask parishioners and guests to please still use common sense in regard to maintaining reasonable distances where possible, using hand sanitizer and washing hands, following good hygiene habits (especially when coughing into your arm or a hankerchief), wearing a mask if you have been in recent close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid, and staying home if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid or have tested positive yourself.  By doing these things, we can all help to continue our parish life while doing our best to keep one another safe.

As of this Sunday, 7 June 2020, parishes of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America (ROEA) have received the blessing from His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel to begin the process of resuming services with clergy and faithful in attendance according to local public health regulations, as well as regulations from the Orthodox Church in America and the ROEA.

Due to distancing requirements, only a limited number of people will be allowed to be in the church at one time.  Upon arrival, ushers will be on hand to assist with seating and other precautions.  Our parishioners have been contacted as to when they can have the opportunity to participate in the services.  Everyone is asked to please cooperate with the scheduling and not show up unscheduled.

All other activities (coffee hours, dinners, meetings, etc.) are still suspended until further notice.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Fr. Horatiu Balanean at (313) 454-7975.
