Welcome Back to Sunday School!

From the Parish PriestFr. Romey Rosco

Welcome back to all the students and teachers of our Sunday School!

To the STUDENTS:  Remember that God loves and understands young people.  Yes, the Bible seems to have been written for adults, but, in the Old Testament Book of Ecclesiastes (12:11) it says “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.”  God challenges young people to keep Him in your thoughts and to strive to do His Will as you prepare for adulthood.

To the TEACHERS:  Know that God blesses you for your dedication to His work.  As an educator in the Faith, you share in Christ’s Holy Mission to the world.  Talk about the power of God, the importance of worship and sacraments, and commitment to what is right and good in our lives.  God challenges teachers to prepare for each classroom session through prayer as well as material preparation.

To the PARENTS:  In your children’s religious upbringing, God holds your role to be most important of all!  Be consistent!  Bring them to church and Sunday School regularly and on time… and allow them to share their learning with you.  God challenges parents to represent Him in the world around them.  If your children do not see God at home, where they are most comfortable, they will not feel a need for Him anywhere!  Pray together, at home and in the Church Family.  Praise and discipline your children with His love.  Be yourselves cleansed of sins and committed to morality, truth and righteousness.

We must all renew our faith regularly and reject the immoralities of our time!  This can only be done with commitment to God’s way!
