On the Orthodox Christian Way of Life

From the Parish PriestFr. Romey Rosco

The Holy Orthodox Church tells us we must fast, pray and do good works, not simply as a routine or to fulfill a Lenten obligation, but as a WAY OF LIFE – a method by which we may strive to correct our faults and spread Christ’s gospel of love and sacrifice.  We must always remember that the Last Judgment will not be made according to our good “intentions” but rather our good “works” through faith in Jesus Christ.  This requires taking up your cross and putting all that is YOU into God’s service and glory.

So, fast and pray, and learn to love your fellow man.  Make a spiritual and physical effort to becoming a “whole” Orthodox Christian….not just in mind, but also in body and spirit.
